Birmingham – Azerbaijan Day 3

We started the day with our now usual car fluid checks, its still drinking oil faster than we can drink beer, our beer count is pretty low (3). We fire up the satnav and quickly realise our europe map ends in Slovenia so we will be using paper maps and self navigating from here on in. Our first task is to head to the Slovenia/Croatia border, as we arrive we find a huge queue trailing about 2km’s back, it takes us 1hr to get through the border. A perfect opportunity for Nick to clean the car windows and get the coffee’s in See Nick’s video’s on his new car wash shampoo.

Next stop was Plitvice waterfalls which are on the Bosnia border and the place where the first shots were fired during the Bosnian conflict back in the 90’s. In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register among the first natural sites worldwide.
